The Leo T. Clark Iris Society is a group dedicated to the promotion of the culture, improvement, and appreciation of all iris. Our members reside and cultivate iris in the Northern Sacramento Valley and surrounding foothills. We are an affiliate of the American Iris Society, Region 14.
Membership in LTCIS allows for participation in such events as potted iris and iris rhizome sales, plant swapping between members, and opportunities to obtain some of the newest iris introductions from noted hybridizers. In the spring, usually April, we display the best of what our gardens have to offer at our annual Iris Show at the Chico Marketplace. Open the Events Tap for updates on this.
Group meetings are generally held on the first Saturday of every month, with exceptions for holidays and special events. Activities during meetings include planning upcoming events, hearing guest speakers, and, of course, discussion of topics regarding all varieties of iris! Meetings are open to the general public, and anyone from beginning growers to experienced irisarians are welcome.
